Thank you very much Varun for your encouraging feedback on the CapSha platform.
We’re glad the UI/UX and navigation are working well for you, and we appreciate your confidence in the development process. Your suggestion to include a greater variety of images is well taken—we’re exploring ways to visually enrich the platform while maintaining clarity and accessibility. Again a reminder on the submission of materials we use for the site for visual enrichment and more clarity.

Below are some initial responses to your key questions. I am also calling out the other AoW 2 team members to also answer the discussion questions posted.

1. Avoiding Competition with Existing Platforms (e.g., CIFOR-ICRAF LMS)

CapSha is designed to be complementary, not competitive. We would like to highlight our objective and role and that is to aggregate, connect, and amplify existing capacity development efforts across CGIAR, programs and accelerators, and partner institutions.

  • Existing LMS platforms like CIFOR-ICRAF’s can be linked and featured within CapSha, increasing visibility and access.
  • CapSha acts as a meta-platform—a centralized digital hub that helps users discover and navigate to relevant content, rather than duplicating or replacing it.

2. Policy on Co-Branding

Co-branding is central to CapSha’s shared ownership model.

  • Resources and learning products contributed by partners will retain their original branding, with CapSha serving as a connector and amplifier.
  • A co-branding guideline will be developed to ensure clarity, mutual recognition, and alignment with institutional identities.

3. Differentiating “Courses” under Resources vs Learning Hub

This is an important distinction for user experience:

  • Courses under Resources are typically contributions from centers whose home will be retained in the respective centers’ platforms. These are shared through our site with the main intention of providing a space to increase visibility and engagement. The vision is to build a connected ecosystem that can facilitate mutual learning across partner institutions, networks, experts, practitioners and target end-users.
  • Courses under the Learning Hub are curated content from centers and platforms who do not currently have a home (LMS home in particular). Similar to resources and learning materials contributed by partners, they retain the original branding. If materials were developed directly with Capsha, co-branding guidelines will then be followed.
