Capacity Building for GESI Responsive Water-Energy-Food-Ecosystem Nexus Actors at the Federal/Provincial Level

This training resource is designed to build the capacity of local government officials, development practitioners, civil society organizations, researchers, and community stakeholders on the Gender Equality and Social Inclusion (GESI)-responsive Water–Energy–Food–Ecosystem (WEFE) Nexus approach. It introduces the concepts and principles of the WEFE Nexus, highlights the importance of integrated and cross-sectoral natural resource governance, and demonstrates how GESI can be embedded throughout planning and decision-making processes. The resource also presents a practical case study on groundwater governance in Barahathawa Municipality, illustrating the application of the WEFE Nexus through multi-stakeholder collaboration.
