This learning module provides an introductory overview of the field of climate, peace, and security. It is designed for a mixed target audience with little to no prior knowledge of the intersection of climate change and insecurity. The first segment of the module consists of a lecture-style session outlining the evolution of the field, key theoretical frameworks used to conceptualise climate-related security risks and environmental peacebuilding opportunities, and a typology of climate-fragility risk pathways commonly discussed in the literature. The second component of the module is more participatory in nature, consisting of a set of simple exercises and discussion prompts designed to enable participants to reflect on how their day-to-day work may intersect with climate, peace, and security dynamics.
